They might as well call LSU “NIL-U” nowadays!

When it comes to NIL deals in women’s college athletics, no one does it better than LSU. According to the On3 NIL 100, three women are ranked in the top 40 – all three being Tiger athletes. Two LSU women’s basketball stars are on the list, with guard Flau’jae Johnson ranking No. 39, while forward Angel Reese ranks No. 5. Women’s gymnastics star Livvy Dunne is the highest, sitting at No. 2 overall.

Two LSU women’s basketball stars signed major NIL deals toward the end of June

Following the LSU women’s basketball national championship run, NIL took off for the Tigers’ program. Now, Angel Reese and Flau’jae Johnson are two of the top earners in all of college athletics.

This success has continued well into the offseason, as both LSU women’s basketball stars inked big-time deals this past month.

Angel Reese, in particular, signed two deals in June, with “Starry” and “PlayStation.” Her On3 NIL valuation now sits at $1.6 million overall with the addition of her most recent partnership.

On the other hand, Flau’jae Johnson’s most recent June NIL deal was her only one of the month. Still, she’s spent significant time working on her music career in the offseason, recently releasing her newest song, “Big 4 Anthem,” on June 9. Her valuation sits at $800K.

Flau’jae Johnson signs deal with Lebron James’ brand “Uninterrupted”

Flau’jae Johnson is quickly becoming one of the biggest names in media. Not only is she a stellar basketball player, but she’s also a rap artist, having recently signed with Jay-Z’s company “ROC NATION.”

Naturally, with a big brand comes big NIL deals. Most recently, she inked a deal with Lebron James’ company “Uninterrupted.”

“Uninterrupted” was built as an athlete empowerment company by Lebron James and Maverick Carter.

With the partnership, you can see Flau’jae Johnson wearing a varsity jacket designed by “Settlemier’s Jackets.” The Oregon-based company has been in business for over 30 years and was doing a limited edition deal with “Uninterrupted.”

Angel Reese inks deal with Playstation, Final Fantasy XVI

LSU women’s basketball star Angel Reese is just about everywhere nowadays. Most recently, Reese signed a deal with “PlayStation.” As a part of the deal, she took part in a commercial advertising the new Final Fantasy XVI video game.

In the advertisement, she can be seen playing the new game alongside several athletes from various sports.

While it’s not the kind of deal we’re used to seeing Angel Reese take part in, it’s cool to see the blending of video games and some of our favorite athletes.

LSU women’s basketball looks like the favorite to win it all again in 2024. In turn, expect plenty of more NIL deals to come both Angel Reese and Flau’jae Johnson’s way in the near future.
