BOOM: LSU football lands versatile four-star safety

LSU football received some major recruiting news this evening! The Tigers have been targeting defensive back heavily this class, and their hard work has paid off with the commitment of class of 2024 four-star safety Joel Rogers.

What a win for LSU football! Heading into today, safety was one of the biggest question marks for the Tigers’ class of 2024. Now, those concerns have been alleviated as they landed four-star Joel Rogers this evening.

Rogers was one of the more highly sought-after recruits in the country and is a major get for the Tigers. He picked LSU football over big-time SEC programs such as Alabama and Texas A&M.

The 6-foot, 180-pound prospect is one of the best athletes in high school football. Not only is he viewed as a safety at the college level, but he’s also a prolific passer.

Now, with the commitment of Rogers, LSU football has the state of Louisiana as good as locked up. In fact, five of the top eight prospects in the state are committed to playing in Baton Rouge in the future.

The Tigers have 16 hard commits in the class of 2024 recruiting cycle, and they aren’t even close to being done. Look for coach Brian Kelly to lean into this recruiting momentum to finish out the class strong. This group will be the future of LSU football, and Tiger fans have every reason to be excited about it.
