Weāre still in the midst of the class of 2024 recruiting cycle, but that hasnāt stopped coach Brian Kelly and LSU from looking ahead to the future. Yesterday, the Tigers were named one of eight candidates for class of 2026 lineman and priority Louisiana recruiting target Lamar Brown.

Itās always important to win in-state recruiting battles. Winning battles within your city is even more essential, and LSU has an opportunity to do exactly that with with a big-time class of 2026 recruit.
While the class of 2024 is still technically in progress, coach Brian Kelly and the Tigers already have 28 signees and are likely close to complete for the cycle.
However, all this means is that they have an opportunity to look forward and get a good jump on the class of 2025 and 2026. Notably, yesterday, LSU was named a candidate for priority Louisiana recruiting target Lamar Brown.
Along with the Tigers, his current list of top schools includes Georgia, Florida State, Florida A&M, Alabama, Miami, Tennessee and Ole Miss.
When looking at Brown as a prospect, he stands out for several reasons. Listed at 6-foot-4, 260 pounds, heās built to dominate pretty much anyone he lines up against. Additionally, he has the ability to play either side of the ball, with the potential to play either as a defensive lineman or an offensive tackle at the next level.
In turn, he currently ranks among the very best in his cycle, sitting at No. 3 nationally and No. 1 in Louisiana, according to 247Sports.
Itās also important to keep in mind where he currently attends school. As a part of the University Lab High School football team in Baton Rouge, he has several ties to the purple and gold. Not only is he already familiar with the city, but his teammate, athlete Keylan Moses recently committed to play for LSU.
While this recruitment likely wonāt come to a close for quite some time, coach Brian Kelly and the Tigers have to feel good about their chances early on when it comes to the big-time lineman.
