Visit season is just around the corner, and the LSU football coaching staff is looking to take full advantage, most recently securing a March 15 visit with four-star class of 2026 quarterback Bowe Bentley, out of Celina, TX.

After failing to land a scholarship quarterback recruit during the 2025 cycle, LSU football has found itself in a somewhat vulnerable spot as far as the future of its signal caller room goes.

On one side of things, overall talent shouldn’t be an issue as we look ahead to the 2025 season. Not only do they retain returning starter Garrett Nussmeier and blue chip freshman Colin Hurley, but in adding former Mississippi State starter Michael Van Buren, they have a proven backup that, on paper, has the potential to step in from the moment Nussmeier makes his way to the NFL next offseason.

All that said, in a perfect world, you ideally want to secure at least one freshman quarterback per recruiting cycle, which is something the purple and gold were unable to achieve this past year, thanks in large part to the last minute decommitment of five-star signal caller Bryce Underwood.

In turn, all that does is make the class of 2026 all the more important, and it appears that the Tiger coaching staff already has their eye on multiple blue chip prospects to fill that spot.

Among those prospects includes four-star quarterback Bowe Bentley, out of Celina, TX, who most recently revealed an upcoming visit to Baton Rouge, LA, later this spring.

Listed as a 6-foot-2, 200-pound signal caller for Celina High School, Bentley currently rates as a top 15 quarterback nationally, according to the 247Sports Composite, as well as the No. 166 player overall in the class of 2026.

Possessing an eerily similar build to current LSU head man Garrett Nussmeier, the Texas-product is no stranger to the national spotlight. Having taken part in the 2025 Navy All-American Bowl this past winter, he may not have the strongest arm in the recruiting cycle, but his sneaky athleticism, along with some elite creativity outside of the pocket easily puts him in the discussion of top signal callers in all of high school football.

Along with a trip to LSU football on March 15, Bentley also has visits with Oklahoma (March 8), Ohio State (March 19), Florida State (March 22) and Georgia Tech (March 29) on his radar this spring.
