The future of the LSU offensive line just received a massive boost. Until today, the Tigers had just two commits at the position with offensive tackle Ethan Calloway and inside offensive lineman Khayree Lee. However, that just changed in a big way, as class of 2024 three-star Ory Williams announced his commitment to LSU football.

LSU football adds big-time three-star offensive line commit Ory Williams to its class of 2024

And just like that, LSU football went from viewing the offensive line as a weakness in their class of 2024 to a possible strength. While the rankings may not show it, all you have to do is look at the size of their commits.

Offensive tackle Ethan Calloway is a three-star out of Mooresville, NC, who stands at 6-foot-7, 300 pounds. On the inside, they have three-star Khayree Lee out of Marrero, LA, standing at 6-foot-5, 320 pounds.

With this most recent LSU football commitment, they somehow got even bigger.

Ory Williams is rated as a three-star and the No. 556 player nationally, according to the 247 Sports Composite. However, that only tells part of the story, as he could easily be one of the most underrated players in the class.

The San Marcos, TX, product measures in at an impressive 6-foot-6, 320 pounds. For context, that lines right up next to star sophomore offensive tackle Emery Jones Jr, who is 6-foot-6, 325 pounds.

Williams’ potential is through the roof

One of the best parts about class of 2024 three-star Ory Williams is he hasn’t even begun to reach his true potential.

Still, even through that, he possesses size and athleticism that should immediately translate to the next level. Despite his size, he has quick feet, making it far more challenging to get past him at the line of scrimmage.

A lot of his athleticism comes from the fact that he’s a multi-sport athlete. In addition to football, he has experience in shot put and basketball.

With this commitment, coach Brian Kelly received a significant boost to the Tigers’ class of 2024. Now, with three commits along the offensive line, things are looking very strong for LSU football. It’s no longer a desperate priority, but could be a strength when considering how underrated the group is.
