LSU football defensive back Greg Brooks Jr is prepping for a big-time senior season in 2023. He spent his first three years of college football at Arkansas, but for whatever reason, he took a major step forward in his first season with the Tigers. Now, he’s continuing that Baton Rouge momentum off the field, as he just signed a local NIL deal with Gordon McKernan Injury Attorneys.

Defensive back Greg Brooks Jr has been on a roll since he decided to transfer to the LSU football team. In three seasons with the Arkansas Razorbacks, he recorded 103 tackles and four interceptions. In contrast, through one season with the Tigers, he made 63 tackles in addition to two interceptions.

The 5-foot-10, 187-pound safety out of Harvey, LA, made an immediate impact in his time in Baton Rouge. Now, he’s moving that momentum off the field to the world of NIL.

On Friday, July 7, it came out that he had signed a local NIL deal with Gordon McKernan Injury Attorneys. The Louisiana-based law firm has locations throughout the state, including Baton Rouge, Lafayette and Lake Charles.

With this NIL deal, Brooks Jr has an On3 NIL value of $98k and ranks No. 704 in all of college football.

This is the LSU defensive back’s second partnership he’s signed. His first came back in August 2022 with Bayou Traditions, an NIL collective based around LSU athletics.

Looking ahead to the 2023 football season, Brooks Jr is a crucial returning contributor for the Tigers’ secondary. Plenty will be expected of him, but if last year was any indication, he should be more than up to the challenge.
