While the football players make their way back to campus from spring break, the LSU coaching staff has continued its winning ways on the recruiting trail. Potentially most notably, the Tigers will host class of 2025 priority safety recruit Faheem Delane for a visit this weekend.

Priority safety recruit Faheem Delane announces visit plans with LSU this weekend

There truly is no offseason in football anymore. Even in the heart of winter and spring, the recruiting calendar barely ever slows down. While this might sound daunting to some, it appears that the LSU coaching staff has only embraced it.

Since the clock hit zero on the 2023 college football season, the Tigers have been on an absolute tear from a recruiting standpoint. In fact, even with a completely revamped defensive coaching staff, they seem to have only improved.

Among the top offseason commitments and signings include class of 2024 five-star defensive lineman Dominick McKinley, class of 2025 five-star quarterback Bryce Underwood, class of 2025 five-star running back Harlem Berry and most recently class of 2025 four-star offensive lineman Tyler Miller.

Now, even with spring football continuing to march on, it’s been all business as the LSU football recruiting staff works towards their next commitment.

As we look ahead, this weekend could be particularly beneficial. Among the several big-time visitors are four-star offensive lineman Micah DeBose, four-star cornerback commitment Jaboree Antoine and priority safety recruit Faheem Delane.

When it comes to the class of 2025 recruiting cycle, very few defensive backs possess better instincts as a tackler than Delane. Officially rated as a four-star, according to the 247Sports Composite, as well as the No. 29 player nationally, the talented safety is one of the hardest hitting players in the entire cycle.

Being listed at 6-foot-2, 195 pounds, he’s not the most intimidating player from a physical standpoint, but his ability to see ball, get ball is what makes him so good. Whether it be in pass coverage or making a play in the backfield, it’s not hard to see why he’s so highly rated.

Right now, the Olney, MD, product is looking like an Ohio State lean, but coach Brian Kelly and the Tigers have been making a strong push of late, last getting him on campus for an unofficial visit on October 21, 2023 for the purple and gold 62-0 victory over Army.
