Continuing its trend of prioritizing some of the best recruits in the class of 2026, LSU football has most recently secured an official visit with five-star wide receiver Tristen Keys, out of Hattiesburg, MS.

From a technical standpoint, the class of 2026 is only just getting started. After all, the 2025 cycle only recently came to a close this past week, as national signing day took place on Wednesday, February 5.

However, for just about every football program in the country, the class of 2026 has been well under way for years now, and LSU football is certainly no exception. The same can be said for many of the top recruits, as their attention is slowly starting to shift towards official and unofficial visits, as well as the ever-so-important commitment date.

One such player is that of five-star wide receiver Tristen Keys. Having narrowed his list of top schools to 12 just a few weeks back, it was clear that things were starting to speed along, but he might be getting even closer than many expected up to this point, as the Hattiesburg, MS, product most recently locked in six official visits for the coming months.

Listed as a 6-foot-2, 175-pound pass catcher, Keys will officially take visits to Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Miami, Tennessee and Texas A&M. Additionally, it wouldn’t surprise if unofficial visits to Ole Miss and Mississippi State were also on the radar, being that they’re in-state schools.

Officially listed as a five-star recruit, Keys is rated as one of the very best players in the entire class of 2026, sitting at No. 4 nationally, according to 247Sports, as well as No. 1 among players within his position group.

While we don’t yet know of any specific dates for his upcoming visits, it’s encouraging to know that the purple and gold are, at the very least, on his mind.

The LSU football class of 2026 currently sits as the No. 13 group nationally, as well as No. 6 in the SEC, with five total commitments.
