Countdown to the NFL draft has officially began, and the first step for many will be the upcoming 2024 NFL combine. Notably, headlined by quarterback Jayden Daniels, LSU will have plenty of representation, with eight total combine invitees.

Year in and year out, LSU has a way with producing some of the best NFL talent and 2024 figures to be no different. The standards are high for the Tigers, and with multiple players projected to the first round in the upcoming draft, coach Brian Kelly is certainly upholding them.
Still, before players can even begin to look ahead to the draft, several steps must come first, including the 2024 NFL combine. The combine is an event annually held for players to show off their athleticism in speed, strength and precision drills catered to their individual positions.
While the combine doesnāt necessarily determine where a player will eventually be drafted, it certainly plays a major role in allowing teams to get a good feel for a player and how they might perform in a pressure setting. In turn, the more players for your school that get invited to the event, the more players that are likely to be drafted.
For the purple and gold, this bodes incredibly well, as the Tigers will likely have eight participants, headlined by Heisman Trophy winning quarterback Jayden Daniels.
Outside of Daniels ā who currently projects as a top-five overall pick ā three other players were invited on the offensive side of the ball, including first round projected wide receivers Malik Nabers and Brian Thomas Jr.
On defense, the Tigers are losing quite a bit along the defensive line, as three of the eight total representatives come from the LSU defensive interior. This is a major reason for the Tigersā depth concerns heading into the 2024 season.
While earning an invite doesnāt exactly guarantee a spot in the draft, it certainly increases their odds significantly. Not only does it provide increased opportunity to make an impression, but every team in the NFL will have their scouts at the 2024 NFL combine. For the eight Tigers who received an invite, this is an incredible opportunity, and one that could end up earning them a ton of money.

The 2024 NFL combine will take place from February 26 until March 4 in Indianapolis, IN. It will feature a total of 321 prospects who hope to eventually be selected in the draft from April 25 until April 27 in Detroit, MI.
