Entering the day with what was already being viewed as the top group in the class of 2025, the future of LSU women’s basketball may have just gotten even better thanks to Wednesday’s commitment from five-star forward Grace Knox.

LSU women’s basketball lands fourth class of 2025 five-star commitment

Take a bow, coach Kim Mulkey.

LSU women’s basketball recruiting has been on an absolute tear since the Louisiana native was first announced as the next head coach for the Tigers back in 2021, and it doesn’t appear to be slowing down any time soon.

The recruiting efforts first reached a peak during the 2023 cycle, when the program brought in a handful of immediate impact players, including the likes of five-star recruits Mikaylah Williams and Aalyah Del Rosario, as well as star transfers Hailey Van Lith and Aneesah Morrow.

With that said, we might actually be witnessing something even more impressive heading into the 2025 cycle. Earlier this week, Kentucky-based forward ZaKiyah Johnson gave the purple and gold their third five-star recruit of the class of 2025, and as it would turn out, they weren’t even done with their efforts for the week.

Wednesday afternoon, things somehow got even better for coach Kim Mulkey and her program, as they landed their eye-popping fourth commitment from a five-star recruit, this time coming from star forward Grace Knox out of Rancho Cucamonga, CA.

Officially listed as a 6-foot-2 power forward from Etiwanda High School, Knox is rated as the No. 11 player nationally, according to the 247Sports Composite, as well as the No. 1 player out of California.

While not necessarily the best 3-point shooter in the class, Grace Knox very well may be the most athletic. Possessing the ability to dunk the ball, as well as take on opposing guards off the bounce with her impressive dribbling ability, she certainly has the potential to be a ‘unicorn’ for this class, having the flexibility to play multiple positions at the next level.

With today’s commitment officially in the books, the California-based forward is now one of four five-star recruits committed to LSU women’s basketball in the class of 2025, joining the likes of shooting guard Divine Bourrage (No. 7 nationally), small forward ZaKiyah Johnson (No. 9 nationally) and guard Bella Hines (No. 25 nationally), in what could easily be the No. 1 class in the country by the time signing day comes and goes later this year.
