Despite playing high school football in Michigan, class of 2025 quarterback Bryce Underwood is heavily considering LSU football recruiting. Now, according to 247 Sports, the five-star has set his college decision date for January 6, 2024.

As good as the Tigers’ class of 2024 is setting up to be, the class of 2025 could be even better. Despite having just five commitments so far, they’re trending for several of the top players in the country, including five-star quarterback Bryce Underwood.

Underwood is the No. 1 quarterback in the class of 2025 and a native of Belleville, MI, putting LSU football recruiting at a slight disadvantage in terms of proximity.

However, this hasn’t seemed too significant of a concern, as the five-star has now made the trip down to Baton Rouge four times in 2023 alone.

Now, it’s looking like we’ll soon know where he’ll be attending college, as he’ll make his official commitment on January 6, 2024.

Known primarily as a pass-first quarterback, the 6-foot-3, 210-pound star out of Belleville is about as versatile a passer as you’ll find.

Through the first nine games of 2023, Underwood put up some eye-popping stats, throwing for 2,051 yards and 26 touchdowns, while completing 67.4 percent of his passes.

However, while he’s more known for his arm, he’s more than capable of getting it done on the ground. Last week vs. Ann Arbor Huron, he showed off some impressive speed, running for a 32-yard touchdown while making multiple defenders miss.

The five-star class of 2025 quarterback will officially make his college decision on January 6. As things stand, Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State and LSU are among his top choices.
