Coming off a week of rest, it’s back to game week for coach Brian Kelly and the Tigers. Heading into its matchup vs. Alabama, the week 10 AP poll has officially been released, and the LSU football ranking has continued its rise to No. 13.

LSU football ranking rises to No. 13 in week 10 AP poll

It’s not uncommon to see teams drop in rank when coming off a BYE week. However, according to this week’s AP poll, coach Brian Kelly and the Tigers happen to be an exception to the trend.

Heading into week 10 of the 2023 college football season, the LSU football ranking has continued to rise, as the Tigers came in at No. 13.

Confidence is slowly beginning to return to the LSU football program. After two early season losses, coach Brian Kelly and his team have rallied, sitting at a solid 6-2 overall record.

The most important aspect of said record is who they lost to. Florida State and Ole Miss are each ranked higher than the Tigers, boosting their resume quite a bit, with Florida State coming in at No. 4 this week.

Even more notable is the fact that the Tigers are getting set for yet another battle against a top 10 program, as they’ll head to Tuscaloosa to face off against No. 8 Alabama in week 10.

If coach Brian Kelly’s squad wins out through the remainder of the schedule, it could be big for their ranking. Who knows, they might even be able to return to their former top-5 ranking, which they had claim to in the preseason.

We’re getting dangerously close to November, so room for error is practically nonexistent. For now, though, the Tigers sit at No. 13 overall and have all of their goals in front of them. It’s just a matter of executing and making it happen.
