When it comes to the Tiger class of 2025, coach Brian Kelly has the chance to build an elite offensive unit led by five-star quarterback commit Bryce Underwood. Among the top targets remaining include LSU football wide receiver recruit Jaime Ffrench, who most recently set a commitment date for later this summer.
Top LSU football wide receiver recruiting target expected to announce commitment this summer
Following the decommitment of five-star pass catcher Dakorien Moore, there was a moment where many fans wondered if this could become a trend among their other top pledges.
However, shortly following the tough break, coach Brian Kelly showed the world that he wasnât ready to hang up the towel just yet with his elite group of recruits. In fact, in response, the purple and gold coaching staff almost immediately started an even stronger push for several other blue chip recruits.
One of said recruits â five-star LSU football wide receiver target Jaime Ffrench â was actually just on campus this past weekend and is now expected to make a final decision as soon as later this summer, setting his commitment date for August 30.
Not only did he set a time frame for the remainder of his recruitment, but the 6-foot-1, 185 pounder added the fact that he currently doesnât have a leader of the pack. This is particularly notable considering just recently, heâd been fairly open about how Texas seemed to be the top contender.
With todayâs news that his recruitment is a much more even race, his visit to Baton Rouge, LA with LSU football likely played a significant role.
Rated as a five-star recruit and the No. 25 player nationally, according to 247Sports, very few pass catchers are held in as high a regard as Ffrench, landing him at No. 4 among fellow wide receivers.
With only a few months remaining within this recruitment, expect Brian Kelly and the rest of his coaching staff to keep their foot on the gas up to the very end. Ffrench has immediate impact potential, and adding him to their already impressive class of 2025 would just further cement this group as one of the top classes in the country.
