Continuing his efforts to build his roster from the line of scrimmage out, head coach Brian Kelly and the LSU football program is set to host elite class of 2026 inside offensive lineman Darius Gray for a visit later this spring.

Heading into the 2024 college football season, LSU football was set to have one of the most talented and deepest offensive line groups in the country. Additionally, with years of starting experience from top to bottom, the unit as a whole also happened to be as proven as you could hope.

Now, as we move forward towards the 2025 season, things are starting to look a bit differently for head coach Brian Kelly’s squad. For starters, nothing is made easy when you lose a whopping four out of five offensive linemen to the NFL in just one offseason. Additionally, with little to no starting experience returning, it’s hard to say exactly what Tiger fans should expect.

Fortunately, talent continues to be a strength, as recruiting (high school and the transfer portal) within the trenches has been a priority since the moment the Tiger head coach stepped foot in Baton Rouge, LA, and it doesn’t appear that those priorities have shifted in the slightest.

Looking towards the class of 2026 recruiting cycle, Kelly, alongside offensive line coach Brad Davis have continued right where they left off. Having already made a push for several of the top offensive linemen in high school football, their efforts are officially starting to pay off, as visit season looks to be a productive one for the future of that unit as a whole.

Among the many top targets visiting this spring includes five-star inside offensive lineman Darius Gray, who has locked in a trip to Baton Rouge for later this spring, as well as one later this summer.

Officially listed at 6-foot-3, 285 pounds, Gray is currently rated as a five-star recruit, sitting as the No. 30 player nationally, according to the  247Sports Composite, as well as No. 3 among players at his position.

Participating as a multi-sport athlete for St. Christopher’s School in Richmond, VA, Gray has the kind of athleticism you rarely see in a player his size, and he most notably knows how to utilize it on the football field.

Consistently overpowering opposing defenders, while out-maneuvering offensive linemen on the defensive side of the ball, he has all the tools to make a major impact at the next level, regardless of where he ultimately chooses to go.

Along with LSU football, the talented inside offensive lineman is set to make the trip to Clemson, Michigan and South Carolina later this spring, while Auburn, Georgia, Penn State, Tennessee and Virginia Tech are also expected to host him at some point in the not too distant future.
