LSU football is officially in contention for two of the best quarterback recruits in the class of 2025. Yesterday, after Bryce Underwood announced he’d be on campus for the Tigers’ game vs. Auburn, fellow five-star quarterback recruit George MacIntyre released his top 10, including coach Brian Kelly’s squad.

LSU football recruiting named a finalist for five-star class of 2025 quarterback George MacIntyre

Should we start calling this the Joe Burrow effect? Maybe we’ll call it the Jayden Daniels effect. Regardless of what you call it, LSU football has been on fire when recruiting the quarterback position, and it isn’t slowing down.

Yesterday, the No. 1 quarterback in the class of 2025 announced that he’d be in Baton Rouge for LSU football vs. Auburn. However, that wasn’t the only good recruiting news the Tigers received on the day.

The No. 2 quarterback in the country and fellow five-star quarterback George MacIntyre announced his top 10 schools in the afternoon, and coach Brian Kelly was likely thrilled to see the purple and gold on his list.

According to 247 Sports, the Brentwood, TN product is the No. 13 player nationally and the No. 2 quarterback. Additionally, he’s the No. 1 player in Tennessee.

Along with LSU football, the five-star listed several top programs in his top 10, including Georgia, Michigan, Florida State, Tennessee and others.

Coach Brian Kelly currently has four commits in his class of 2025, including one five-star and three three-stars. Adding a player of MacIntyre’s caliber would immediately make this class one of the best in the country.
