Despite the upcoming ReliaQuest Bowl matchup between LSU and Wisconsin tomorrow, the world of recruiting hasn’t slowed down one bit. Earlier this week, it was revealed that the Tigers are one of several top programs currently pursuing class of 2025 five-star Texas linebacker Jonah Williams.

There are very few players at the high school level capable of scoring every single time they touch the ball. However, when look at class of 2025 five-star Texas linebacker Jonah Williams, he just so happens to fit that exact mold.

In 2023 as a junior, even despite being a primarily defensive player, Williams recorded eight touchdowns, including four on defense and four on special teams.

As if that weren’t enough, he also proceeded to record 113 tackles, seven for a loss, two forced fumbles and 10 pass breakups over the last two seasons combined.

That kind of production is simply unheard of, so it’s only natural that he’d be recruited by some of the best programs in the country. Notably, the LSU Tigers are one of his top choices thus far.

In early November, the 6-foot-3, 203-pound five-star revealed his top-12 schools, which included five SEC programs (Alabama, LSU, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas A&M).

As things stand, he ranks No. 13 nationally, according to the 247Sports Composite and No. 2 among linebackers.

With him being a class of 2025 recruit, there’s still over a year until he needs to make his final decision. Still, expect to see coach Brian Kelly and the Tigers continue to make a strong push at him throughout the coming months.
