Angel Reese continues to find ways to make her presence known, and itâs hard not to love it. Most recently, the star LSU womenâs basketball forward tried her hand at acting. On Friday it was revealed that she signed an NIL deal with Starry, appearing in a commercial for the soda brand.
Angel Reese, The Actress
Two months ago, LSU womenâs basketball star Angel Reese was flashing the classic âyou canât see meâ gesture on live television during the Tigersâ national championship run. Now, sheâs back in action, this time using the gesture on NBA star Zion Williamson.
In the commercial, Reese is sitting alongside NBA stars Karl Anthony-Towns and Zion Williamson. The reasoning for the commercial is to help Starry advertise for their â3 is Greater Than 2â campaign.
Angel Reese now has a $1.4 million NIL valuation according to ON3. In fact, she now sits at No. 10 overall in NIL valuation in college athletics, just behind Michigan footballâs JJ McCarthy.
Big things could be in store for LSU womenâs basketball in 2023
Itâs never an easy thing to repeat as national champions in any college sport. With that being said, it might be pretty easy for LSU womenâs basketball this coming season.
The Tigers won the 2023 NCAA Womenâs Basketball Championship in convincing fashion, 102-85 versus Iowa. Now, looking ahead to next season, they will be even better.
Along with Angel Reese, one of the biggest stars in womenâs basketball, the Tigers also bring in the No. 1 transfer portal class. As if that werenât enough, they bring in the No. 1 recruiting class as well.
With a roster that includes Reese, Hailey Van Lith, Aneesah Morrow and Flauâjae Johnson, they could be unstoppable. Last season, South Carolina womenâs basketball nearly went undefeated through the entire season. Donât be surprised if the Tigers find a way to go undefeated en route to yet another NCAA championship.
