LSU basketball is in major rebuild mode. Nothing shows this more than their current transfer portal class heading into next season. Now, it’s become clear that they aren’t done yet, as elite transfer portal target Zyon Pullin named the Tigers a finalist for his transfer destination.

Elite transfer portal target Zyon Pullin names LSU basketball as one of five finalists

The LSU basketball team needs all the help they can get. Luckily, they have some fantastic transfer portal commitments ready to come in and assist.

The Tigers don’t appear to be done yet, either, as they’re still going after some big-time players who are still available. More specifically, the Tigers are going after elite transfer portal target guard Zyon Pullin.

The UC Riverside standout is the kind of player who could immediately come in and make an impact with LSU basketball. While guard isn’t necessarily a need for the Tigers, they’re at the point where they need any talent they can get.

If coach Matt McMahon can earn his commitment, he could become an integral piece to a vastly improved LSU basketball team in 2023.

Pullin is an elite guard prospect who could fit perfectly with the program

Out of high school, Pullin received little to no attention from the major programs in college basketball. In fact, on 247 Sports, he was listed as a zero-star prospect and was not ranked.

Now, he’s an elite guard who put up 18.3 points per game this past season. Not only that, but he can truly do it all. Recording 4.4 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 0.9 steals per game, it was nearly impossible to stop him in 2022.

One of the only things he truly struggled with was shot selection, occasionally forcing things to try and help his offense get going. Despite that game flaw, he shot 48.6 percent from the field and 39.4 percent from three.

If he finds a way to slow things down and take the game as it comes, he could be lethal in his 5th season of college basketball. If he is to join LSU basketball for the 2023 season, keep an eye on his passing game. He shouldn’t be as depended on for scoring as he was at UC Riverside, which could lead him to reach elite status.

Keep an eye on this recruitment. If the Tigers find a way to land him, it will complete one of the best transfer portal classes in all of college basketball.
