Coach Brian Kelly is no stranger to producing elite talent at the tight end position. Over the years, he’s helped coach several big-time players including Kyle Rudolph, Tyler Eifert and Michael Mayer. Now, heading into year-three as the LSU head coach, Kelly is on the hunt for his next great tight end, most recently offering class of 2025 elite tight end recruiting target Da’Saahn Brame.

When it comes to the tight end position in college, it’s usually either used prominently or not at all. Some programs that specialize in producing at the position include Iowa, Miami, and Notre Dame.

Notably, heading into year three, LSU coach Brian Kelly is hoping to add the Tigers into that discussion, going after some of the top tight end recruits in the country.

Since making his way to Baton Rouge, Kelly has signed six players at the position, including one of the top returners in the country, sophomore Mason Taylor.

Now, focus is solidly on the class of 2025, and most recently, tight end coach Slade Nagle went ahead and extended an offer to top-100 tight end recruiting target Da’Saahn Brame.

As a part of the Derby High School football program, Da’Saahn Brame has made quite the name for himself on the national recruiting scene. Ranking as the No. 95 player in the country, according to 247Sports, as well as the No. 4 tight end in the class of 2025, he’s collected quite the list of offers from some of the best schools in the country.

The 6-foot-6, 235-pound recruit essentially has his pick of any school he wants at this point, holding offers from Alabama, Michigan, Oregon, Tennessee, USC and Washington, among many others.

Interestingly enough, the four-star recruit actually released a list of his top-8 schools in December, which included Alabama, Florida, Kansas State, Michigan, Oklahoma, Oregon, Tennessee and Texas A&M. Still, it would be surprising if this is a set in stone list of finalists, considering that since making it, he’s received a handful of offers from perennial top-25 programs.

With LSU having officially entered the mix for the top-100 recruit, it will be interesting to keep an eye on his list of top schools to see if any changes occur in the coming months.
