You can’t build a basketball team without high school recruiting. While it took some time for coach Matt McMahon to get into a groove with the LSU basketball program, he seems to have finally arrived.

Just last week, the Tigers received their first commitment in the class of 2024 from four-star power forward Robert Miller.

Now, they might be getting close to yet another commitment in the near future as four-star small forward Rakease Passmore just named LSU basketball recruiting a finalist.

Passmore is one of the top recruits in the country for the class of 2024, ranking as the No. 44 player overall and the No. 5 player in North Carolina.

Standing at 6-foot-5, 180 pounds, the four-star has both the speed to move by defenders and the physicality to dunk over just about anyone. If coach Matt McMahon can work some magic in this recruitment, he could be a massive pickup for the Tigers.

Along with the Tigers, the star small forward named Arkansas, Oklahoma and Kansas as his other finalists.
