Sometimes, all you need in football is a bit of a reset. For LSU football, they took it to a new level. Ahead of the Tigers’ 2023 week two matchup versus Grambling State, Tiger Stadium received quite the upgrade.

LSU football: Tiger Stadium receives upgrade ahead of week two matchup

There’s something so magical about a new season in Tiger Stadium. Yes, the Tigers faced a loss in week one, but the season is nowhere near over, and all of their goals are still ahead of them.

Now, it’s a game day in Baton Rouge, and it provides the Tiger roster a chance to reset versus an FCS program in Grambling State.

However, the roster isn’t the only thing that took the opportunity for a reset. Tiger Stadium also received some upgrades, particularly within the tunnels.

The walls now display LSU football phrases such as “The Path” and “Where opponents’ dreams come to die.” Additionally, the words “The Cathedral of College Football” are displayed, further emphasizing the iconic nature of the Death Valley.

Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge is widely viewed as one of the most intimidating stadiums in college football. Now, in 2023, as players enter the field, they’ll have no choice but to be reminded of it.

LSU football faces off against Grambling State this evening at 6:30 p.m. CST in Baton Rouge. This is the first-ever matchup between the two Louisiana-based programs. Additionally, the last time Grambling State beat an FBS opponent was in 1985, when they beat Oregon State 23-6.
