Despite a bit of a recent lull in football recruiting momentum, the Tigers still have one of the best groups in the entire 2025 cycle. In order to continue making a strong push, LSU will host several big-time recruits in the near future, including four-star class of 2025 recruiting target Kaliq Lockett later this spring.

As things stand, LSU has already put together an elite 2025 pass catching group. With four-star tight end JD LaFleur and elite wide receivers TaRon Francis and Dakorien Moore, any quarterback in the country would be beyond excited.

However, when you consider they also have the No. 1 quarterback in the nation, Bryce Underwood committed, things just keep getting better.

Now, they’re looking to add to the group this spring, as they’ll host four-star class of 2025 recruiting target Kaliq Lockett on April 12, right around the purple and gold spring game.

Lockett – a 6-foot-2, 175-pound wide receiver out of Sachse, TX – is easily one of the best players in the country, and his current recruiting rankings show it.

Listed as the No. 11 player nationally, according to 247Sports, as well as the No. 2 pass catcher, only one wide receiver in the country ranks higher. Notably, that one wide receiver also happens to be committed to the Tigers, as five-star pledge Dakorien Moore ranks No. 5 nationally.

It doesn’t take much research to realize why the talented receiver ranks so high either. With some of the best body control in the entire recruiting class and an 11.54-second 100-meter dash, he’s the total package.

Having recorded 103 receptions for 2,073 yards and 22 touchdowns over the last three seasons, he’s been incredibly productive as a part of the Sachse High School offense, and it likely won’t take him long to do similar work at the next level.

With 30+ offers already, the early schools to keep an eye out for include Florida State, Ohio State, Penn State and Texas.
