While it’s been a slow past couple of months for LSU football recruiting of late, their recent efforts with visitors are finally starting to pay off. As of today, the purple and gold have officially landed their fourth commitment from a blue chip offensive lineman, as Carius Curne will now join the Tiger class of 2025.
Blue chip offensive lineman releases video commitment to the LSU football class of 2025
It’d been over two full months since LSU football recruiting last received an additional commitment in their class of 2025. However, as of this morning, the Tigers are finally back to their streak of good news, as blue chip offensive lineman Carius Curne has elected to announce his pledge to the purple and gold.
Since first offering the 6-foot-4, 301-pound, Marion, AR, product all the way back in November of 2023, the Tigers have long felt like the team to beat. In fact, even despite him being an Arkansas commitment as recently as March, both 247Sports and On3 have listed LSU football as the favorite for months now.
Fortunately for coach Brian Kelly and his program, the two recruiting sites turned out to be exactly correct, meaning that the purple and gold have now landed four talented offensive linemen, all of which are rated within the top-500 nationally (No. 38 Tyler Miller, No. 97 Devin Harper and No. 452 Brett Bordelon).
With all of that said, today’s commitment from Curne very well might be the crown jewel of them all. Sitting at No. 25 overall, according to On3, as well as No. 1 among fellow inside offensive linemen, the Marion High School standout is impressive on all fronts and figures to leave a fairly early impact with LSU.
Already having elite size, the talented inside offensive lineman possesses a unique combination of power and athleticism that allows him to dominate just about anyone he faces off against at the high school level. Additionally, with experience along the defensive line, he could end up making an impact on either side of the ball if necessary for coach Brian Kelly’s squad.
With today’s pledge, Curne joins a group that sits among the very best nationally with 12 total commitments, including several five-star recruits such as No. 1 quarterback Bryce Underwood and No. 1 running back Harlem Berry.
