For many Tiger fans, there’s no denying the explosive nature of this LSU football offense. It ranks among the best in the country in most statistics and has a claim as one of the best in the SEC. However, Tiger fans aren’t the only ones who have noticed how good Jayden Daniels and the offense are. Earlier this week, Auburn coach Hugh Freeze spoke on coach Brian Kelly’s squad and how he hopes to slow them down.

Auburn coach Hugh Freeze gives glowing remarks on Jayden Daniels and the LSU football offense

It’s one thing to watch an explosive offense such as that of LSU football. It’s an entirely different situation to attempt to stop it.

Through six weeks, Jayden Daniels and the Tiger offense are scoring an incredible 44.8 points per game (5th nationally) to go along with 548.3 yards per game (3rd nationally).

For Auburn coach Hugh Freeze, he and his team have the pleasure of attempting to slow them down, and if you ask him, it’s easier said than done.

“Their offense is the most explosive I’ve seen in a long, long time,” Freeze said to the media earlier this week“I wasn’t coaching when they had their run with Joe Burrow and them, but this quarterback, if he’s not in the Heisman discussion, there’s a problem. He’s playing at an incredibly high level with dynamic receivers, and there’s not a weakness on that offense.”

LSU football quarterback Jayden Daniels is having one of the best seasons of his five-year collegiate career. So far, he’s racked up 2,391 total yards and 23 touchdowns compared to just two interceptions.

When thinking about the season he’s having, Auburn coach Hugh Freeze added, “It’s impressive to watch.”

Freeze doesn’t plan on stopping the Tigers on offense

Now, for opposing coaches, when you get ready to face an offense as explosive as LSU’s, the question is, how do you stop them?

Well, according to Auburn coach Hugh Freeze, you don’t.

“I don’t think you stop him. There’s too many weapons around him, and he’s too good,” the Auburn coach began. “I think when you look at the key to this game is can we hold them to field goals, truthfully. No one has stopped him, and he plays so effortless. Literally, when he runs 40-yard touchdowns, it looks like he’s jogging, and yet no one’s catching him. And his balls are so accurate to those talented receivers.”

It’s important to note that it’s not just the star quarterback to watch on the LSU football offense. The Tigers have two of the best wide receivers in the country, as Malik Nabers ranks No. 2 in receiving yards (771), while Brian Thomas Jr leads the nation in receiving touchdowns (9).

Then, on the ground, running back Logan Diggs ranks top 30 in rushing yards, with 488 yards.

It’s one of the best collections of talent we’ve seen at LSU, and Auburn coach Hugh Freeze is well aware of it.

“To this point, it’s the best offensive personnel I have seen in this league.”
