At the time, fans of the Wolverines and Tigers wondered what that could mean for the recruitment of five-star quarterback Bryce Underwood. He’s long been considered a favorite to land in either Ann Arbor or Baton Rouge, and this could have been just the first domino to fall.

As it turns out, it appears things could be continuing in that direction, as Michigan insider EJ Holland of On3 just released an expert prediction in favor of LSU football.

Underwood is listed as not only the No. 1 quarterback but the top overall player in the nation. His commitment would be program-changing for any team in the country, including coach Brian Kelly’s squad.

Notably, his commitment could also give the Tigers a second five-star offensive commitment, with the potential to gain more as time goes on.

Ultimately, none of this matters until he makes his final commitment, but the fact that a Michigan insider predicted in favor of LSU football is notable, to say the least.

Five-star quarterback Bryce Underwood is less than two months from decision day

While the suspense is likely killing fans of all contenders for the five-star quarterback, including Alabama, Colorado, Michigan, LSU, Oregon, Penn State and Florida State, they can rest easy as decision day is just around the corner.

Well, maybe not around the corner, but it’s rapidly approaching. The five-star quarterback out of Belleville is set to make his official announcement on January 6th.

If coach Brian Kelly can land the 6-foot-4, 215-pound signal-caller, this class has the potential to be one of the best in LSU football history.
