History truly does repeat itself. In 2019, Joe Burrow had himself the greatest quarterback season in LSU football history, won the Heisman Trophy and had his former high school stadium named after him.
In 2023, LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels put together one of the greatest quarterback seasons in Tiger history, won the Heisman and now has his high school stadium named after him.
Itās not often you go from being a questionable starter in college football to a potential top-10 NFL draft pick, but thatās exactly what Daniels has done over the last year.
After amassing 4,946 yards and 50 touchdowns, compared to just four interceptions, the former five-star recruit has been mocked to go as high as third overall to the New England Patriots.
As you saw in the videos above, not only was Daniels honored with the naming of Cajon High Schoolās football stadium, but he also received his varsity jacket, personalized with a special Heisman Trophy patch.
With the 2024 Heisman Trophy in hand and the Cajon High School football stadium named after him, Jayden Daniels will now turn his sights to the upcoming NFL combine and draft. The combine will start things off on February 26 as teams prepare for who theyāll pick in the 2024 NFL draft in Detroit from April 25-27.
