The wait is nearly over! After a largely back-and-forth race for top class of 2024 LSU recruiting target Terry Bussey, the elite athlete will make his final college decision on Wednesday morning.

Wednesday’s National Signing Day could put the Tiger class of 2024 over the top

National Signing Day is just around the corner, and coach Brian Kelly is hoping his team can make some more waves before things are all said and done.

With 28 signees already following the early signing period, there’s plenty of superstar potential spread throughout the entire Tiger class of 2024. Still, as far as top-end talent goes, there’s plenty left to be desired, and that’s exactly where Wednesday’s National Signing Day could put the purple and gold over the top.

To start things off, five-star defensive lineman Dominick McKinley will look to make things official, having initially announced his flip commitment from Texas A&M to LSU on New Year’s Eve.

If the Lafayette, LA, product ends up being the only signee of the day for LSU, it will be a fantastic recruiting class with plenty of big names who will make their way to Baton Rouge in 2024. However, the Tigers have their eyes set on a potential 30th signee, who will make his final decision Wednesday morning.

Top LSU recruiting target Terry Bussey will make his final decision Wednesday morning

Terry Bussey initially shut down his recruitment on September 28, naming Texas A&M as the school he’d spend his future college years with. Naturally, several coaches continued to knock at his door, but he seemed pretty solid with his decision, not taking any official visits through the entire 2023 football season.

However, once Aggie coach Jimbo Fisher was fired, things began to waver for the five-star athlete. Since then, he’s taken an official visit to Georgia, an unofficial visit to LSU and most recently took his final official to Texas A&M.

Now, it’s time to make a final decision, and according to reports this morning, it appears that the current Aggie commit will make his final decision between Georgia, LSU and Texas A&M on Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. CST.

Bussey has been viewed as one of the best players in the entire class of 2024 for years now. Then, after putting together one of the most complete seasons you’ll ever see in high school football in 2022, it was only solidified.

Having recorded 4,773 yards, 72 touchdowns, 115 tackles, five interceptions and four defensive touchdowns as a junior, the electric athlete ranks No. 11 nationally, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, as well as No. 1 at his position.

With Bussey set to make his final decision between three big-time SEC powers, this has the potential to be a major win for coach Brian Kelly and LSU. Until then, the Tiger football program just needs to wait and hope that his most recent visit to Baton Rouge was enough to put the purple and gold on top.
