With three five-star recruits already committed to play for coach Brian Kelly’s squad this recruiting cycle, the Tigers might not be done yet. On Wednesday, LSU is set to host five-star class of 2024 athlete Terry Bussey one last time before he makes his final college decision.

As much attention as the LSU class of 2025 has received of late, the 2024 cycle has made quite the push of late to be one of the best groups in the country. Headlined by current five-star offensive tackle Weston Davis, defensive lineman Dominick McKinley and tight end Trey’Dez Green, they have plenty of immediate impact potential throughout the group.

However, it’s notable to remember that the class isn’t set in stone yet. Several of the top players in the country are yet to sign with their future program, meaning the door is open for programs to make their final sales pitches.

One such player is five-star class of 2024 athlete Terry Bussey who will take one final visit to Baton Rouge this week before signing in early February.

A current commit to Texas A&M and coach Mike Elko, Bussey has been hesitant to put pen to paper, leaving the door open for coach Brian Kelly and other coaches to make one last push to flip the big-time recruit.

According to On3, Bussey ranks as the No. 15 player nationally, No. 3 in Texas and No. 1 among athletes. In turn, he’s pretty much had his choice of schools throughout his recruitment.

Standing at 5-foot-10, 180 pounds, he has exceptional playmaking ability, explaining his listing as an athlete. While he likely could make plays in any phase of the game, he projects more as a safety at the college level, with the potential to make appearances on special teams as well.

Having been committed to the Aggies since September, a flip isn’t necessarily expected, but it’s certainly not out of the realm of possibilities. If coach Brian Kelly and the entire Tiger coaching staff can make a strong impression on Wednesday, it could mean big things for Bussey’s final decision in early February.
