After putting together four straight seasons of electric performances primarily on her floor and beam routines, star LSU gymnastics senior Sierra Ballard has officially announced her return for the 2025 season.

And with that, yet another star LSU gymnastics senior is making her way back to Baton Rouge for one final season.

Earlier this offseason, one of the greatest gymnasts to ever grace the college ranks – Haleigh Bryant – made waves in the world of gymnastics by announcing her return to Baton Rouge for one final season. As it would it turn out, this may have just been a sign of things to come for the Tigers.

The purple and gold had a veteran filled roster, with several seniors making up a major portion of their scoring, and for most of the season, it looked like this could be their best opportunity to make a run at a national championship. However, now after going out and winning it all, they might not be satisfied yet, as talented beam and floor specialist Sierra Ballard has officially become the latest to announce a return for her final year of eligibility in 2025.

A product out of Mandeville, LA, Ballard has dazzled throughout her LSU gymnastics career thanks in large part to her big-time personality paired unmatched confidence. In turn, she ran as the leadoff for the Tigers on beam, and she was lights out all year long.

Capping things off with a 9.9500 in the final beam routine of her senior season, the 5-foot-2 star’s energy stayed unmatched, and she played a significant role in making the purple and gold the eventual 2024 NCAA Gymnastics National Champions.

With two seniors officially making their return to Baton Rouge for their final year of eligibility, the good offseason news might not be done yet. Among the top names still waiting to make their final decisions are Kiya Johnson and Olivia Dunne, both of which have one year of eligibility remaining if they ultimately choose to take it in the 2025 season.
