Baton Rouge is no stranger to star athletes at the college level. Names like Angel Reese and Livvy Dunne consistently find recognition worldwide. Naturally, plenty of companies worldwide hope to partner with these two stellar athletes. Most recently, LSU women’s gymnastics star Livvy Dunne signed an NIL deal with Motorola.
LSU women’s gymnastic star Livvy Dunne signs major NIL deal with Motorola
Livvy Dunne has built a brand that some of the most famous people in the world can’t even dream of. In fact, at the college level, she has the No. 2 ON3 NIL Valuation with a value of $3.4 million. The only athlete ranked higher is USC signee Bronny James with a valuation of $6.8 million.
Most recently, she signed a deal with cell phone company Motorola. With this partnership, she’s taken the time to advertise the company’s new razr+ phone. The phone is known to have the largest external display of any flip phone ever.
The new generation of flip phones has recently grown in popularity, largely thanks to online content creators. The ability to set your phone down and take photos and videos hands-free makes this kind of device ideal for all sorts of creators.
This likely played a large part in Dunne’s willingness to sign the deal, as the device was designed with creators like her in mind.
Dunne is looking to make a significant comeback this coming gymnastics season
Outside her brand off the mat, the 5-foot-6 athlete is an all-around gymnastics star. Her stardom primarily began during her freshman season in 2021, making an immediate impact for the Tigers.
In her first year on campus, she was elite, taking a particular liking to the uneven bars. Throughout the season, she averaged an impressive 9.844 in the event and scored a career-high 9.925 at Auburn.
Her impressive freshman year led to All-American recognition, and she turned out to be an excellent addition to the Tiger program.
Her sophomore season followed suit, averaging 9.786 on bars and 9.854 on the floor. Unfortunately, her junior year wasn’t quite as successful, appearing in just four meets all season due to an injury that kept her sidelined.
The Tigers finished 4th overall at NCAA Championships in 2023. LSU women’s gymnastics star Livvy Dunne is likely hoping to return to her team in 2024 at full health to help end her career on a high note with the rest of her team.
