From one-handed catches to pick-sixes, the 2023 LSU football spring game was filled with thrilling plays as fans of the purple and gold got their first glimpse at what would turn into another 10-win team under coach Brian Kelly. Now, as we look ahead to the coming season, spring football dates have officially been announced, which includes 14 practices and the 2024 spring game.

LSU football announces spring football dates, including 2024 spring game

Mark your calendars ladies and gentlemen! As of today, we have an official schedule for the upcoming spring football this March and April, which will conclude with the 2024 spring game on April 13.

As things stand, these dates are just about all we know about the 2024 National L Club Spring Game, but if last season’s version is any indication, fans can expect quite the show in mid-April.

Every year, the spring game not only marks the first opportunity for fans to watch a new version of the LSU football team, but it marks the countdown to the upcoming season.

Conducting somewhat of an offense vs. defense matchup, coach Brian Kelly and his squad ended with a tied game for this past year’s game, as the two teams put up a final score of 32-32. It was a tightly contested matchup all-around, and whether it be linebacker Whit Week’s interception for a touchdown or wide receiver Kyren Lacy’s electric one-handed grab, there was no shortage of big plays throughout the afternoon.

In 2023, gates to Tiger Stadium first opened around 12:00 p.m. CST, with the official spring game kicking off about 1 hour and 45 minutes following.

We don’t yet know exactly what 2024 will have in store for us, but in the meantime, make sure to mark your calendars for spring football. April is just around the corner.
