On August 12, 2023, LSU football recruiting landed class of 2025 wide receiver Dakorien Moore. Just days ago, five-star Louisiana running back Harlem Berry joined the party. Now, ahead of commitment day for Bryce Underwood, the Tigers continue to trend in the right direction for the top quarterback recruit.

LSU football trending to land top quarterback recruit Bryce Underwood

There are plenty of fish in the sea, or at least that’s what they always say. However, when it comes to recruiting in the sport of football, few players are nearly as talented as that of class of 2025 five-star Bryce Underwood.

The top quarterback recruit out of Belleville, MI, has been viewed as one of the best recruits in high school football for years, and his recruitment is rapidly nearing an end.

With offers from all around the country, from Ohio State to Alabama to Oregon, he essentially has his pick of any school he wants. However, over the last couple of months, two schools in particular have stood out in the race for the 6-foot-3, 210-pound five-star.

Michigan, being the hometown school just 20 miles away from him is unsurprisingly a top option. However, having visited Baton Rouge four times in 2023, LSU has slowly turned into the team to beat.

This has only continued throughout the last few weeks, and now, just one day away from his commitment, it appears that the Tigers are pulling away late.

As of this morning, Shea Dixon and Billy Embody of On3 have each logged expert predictions for LSU to land the top quarterback recruit.

If coach Brian Kelly and his squad can find a way to pull the highly sought-after target from Michigan, it would be a major win over a national power. Furthermore, it would be the icing on top of an already excellent recruiting class of 2025.

The Tiger class of 2025 is looking special

Rarely in today’s age of college football do you see a recruiting class as special as that of the Tiger class of 2025. The 2024 recruiting cycle is still weeks away from being complete, but through the efficiency of coach Brian Kelly, they already have 28 signees and can begin looking to the future.

With this, LSU has already landed three top-250 recruits or better, two of which elected to stay home in Louisiana (athlete Keylan Moses and running back Harlem Berry). Even more impressive is the fact that two of the three are listed as five-star recruits and are ranked No. 1 at their prospective positions, with Berry and wide receiver Dakorien Moore.

However, that’s not all, as the purple and gold have already managed to land seven commitments total, five of which are on offense. While the defense certainly could use some work, this offensive class has the potential to be one of the greatest of all-time.

As things stand, the Tigers sit at No. 2 overall nationally, according to On3, and have the potential to snag the No. 1 slot depending on tomorrow’s announcement.

Regardless, this class is special and coach Brian Kelly has LSU recruiting moving in a direction that should have Tiger fans very excited.
