Since coach Brian Kelly took over for LSU football recruiting, the state of Louisiana has been the No. 1 priority. Looking ahead, this doesnât appear to be changing, as the Tigers just offered four-star class of 2026 offensive tackle Brysten Martinez.
LSU football recruiting offers four-star offensive tackle Brysten Martinez
Some of the top talent comes from Louisiana for the class of 2026. In fact, according to 247 Sports, three of the top 10 players in the country come from the state and seven of the top 100.
Naturally, LSU football recruiting would like to keep as many of those players in state as possible, which is why the Tigers just offered four-star offensive tackle Brysten Martinez.
The Gonzalez, LA, offensive lineman is one of the top offensive tackles in the entire class of 2026. He ranks No. 37 player nationally and No. 4 in the state.
Standing at 6-foot-5, 280 pounds, he already looks like a future college-level star. If he can put on some additional weight before he graduates, he could be an early impact candidate for some of the top programs in the country.
In addition to LSU, he has offers from schools like Georgia, Florida State and Oregon, so this wonât be an easy recruitment by any means. It is notable, however, that in his offer post, he described this as a âdream come true,â so things are looking good for the Tigers early on.
The Tigers donât have any commitments in the class of 2026, but theyâve been plenty active. If they can land at least a handful of these top Louisiana-based recruits, it could do wonders for their future.
