It hasn’t taken new addition defensive line coach Bo Davis long to start making moves on the recruiting trail. On Friday, class of 2025 fast-rising Texas defensive lineman Floyd Guidry received an offer from the Tigers.
LSU football offers class of 2025 Texas defensive lineman Floyd Guidry
When LSU brought defensive line coach Bo Davis on staff for the Tiger football team, it was undoubtedly a big moment for the current roster. However, it may end up paying off more in the long run, thanks in large part to his ability to recruit the states of Texas and Louisiana.
In his over two decades of coaching, over half of his time has been spent in either state, which includes a stint with North Shore High School in Houston, TX. Now, it looks like this experience is already beginning to benefit the Tigers.
Since being officially hired, the veteran defensive line coach has offered several big-time recruits, including fast-rising class of 2025 Texas defensive lineman Floyd Guidry.
As things stand, Guidry isn’t exactly the highest rated recruit, but it doesn’t exactly match the amount of attention he’s received of late. According to 247Sports, the Spring, TX, product ranks as the No. 48 defensive lineman nationally, as well as the No. 71 player in Texas.
Notably, LSU isn’t the only school to have offered him in the last week or so. Some of his most recent offers include Cal, UTEP, TCU, Houston and Baylor. Furthermore, he already possessed a Texas offer from December.
Right now, the LSU class of 2025 ranks among the best in the country, primarily thanks to its elite pledges on offense. On the defensive side of the ball, linebacker Keylan Moses and cornerback Jaylen Bell are holding down the fort, but with the way Bo Davis has been recruiting of late, don’t be surprised to see this shift in a major way over the coming months.
