LSU football recruiting is continuing its push to get back to the ways of “DBU,” as the Tigers earned another cornerback commitment this week. This time, class of 2024 three-star Bernard Causey elected to flip his verbal from Ole Miss.

LSU football recruiting: Class of 2024 cornerback Bernard Causey flips commitment from Ole Miss

Well, that certainly didn’t take long. Just two days following the commitment of cornerback PJ Woodland, fellow class of 2024 DB Bernard Causey elected to join the party.

Woodland, a three-star out of Mississippi, started things off by flipping his commitment from Mississippi State to LSU on Sunday.

In a similar fashion, not even a full day after decommitting from Ole Miss, Causey has officially announced his flip from a Mississippi school to Baton Rouge.

It’s important to note that while the Tigers were able to steal Woodland from his home state, Causey is choosing to stay home.

The New Orleans, LA, native stands at 6-foot, 160 pounds, is highly underrated and could see a major boost to his rankings in the coming year.

He currently ranks nationally as the No. 81 cornerback and the No. 33 player in Louisiana. Despite his lower ranking, it’s notable that he currently has four SEC offers and is a quick riser in the recruiting world.

The Tigers now have 25 commitments in their class of 2024, ranking No. 12 nationally.
