Having an elite quarterback committed to your recruiting class is a luxury that the LSU football team is lucky enough to have with class of 2024 commit Colin Hurley. Still, a quarterback is only as good as the team surrounding him. That’s why he has taken to the recruiting trail to help his future coaches create an elite class of 2024.

LSU football QB commit Colin Hurley is helping to make the Tigers’ class of 2024 elite

Talent attracts talent. We see it every year at every level of every sport. Take Colorado football, for instance; the Buffaloes won just one game last season, yet they’ve had 51 players transfer in this offseason with the addition of coach Deion Sanders.

This is precisely what LSU football hopes to get with quarterback Colin Hurley committed so early on. Maybe not to the extent of Colorado, but you know what I mean.

Hurley has taken to Twitter recently, reaching out to some of the best recruits in the country. In the new age of college football and social media, this version of recruiting is becoming more and more frequent.

In particular, Hurley is reaching out to some elite class of 2024 wide receivers. It’s only natural for him to want to throw to the best of the best, and he might be making some progress in this department already.

Wide receiver Drelon Miller is the No. 60 player nationally and the No. 11 wide receiver in the class of 2024. He also has a commitment date of June 29. Keep an eye on this recruitment, as Hurley is almost sure to keep pushing for the elite talent.

He’s even making a push at recently offered wide receiver Kylan Billiot. The pair were in Baton Rouge together this weekend, and Billiot clearly left an impression on the already committed quarterback.

Hurley isn’t the only Tiger commit using Twitter-space as a recruiting tool

While Hurley goes after recruits on the offensive side of the ball, one of his future pass-catchers is doing some recruiting of his own. Wide receiver Joseph Stone appears solid in his commitment to LSU football, as he’s taken to Twitter to reach out to other recruits across the country.

One of the said recruits just so happens to be one of the best in the country. Five-star Colin Simmons is already heavily considering the Tigers, and Stone has taken notice.

Simmons is the No. 4 player in the country and the No. 1 overall edge rusher. He also appears to be an LSU football lean, as the Tigers have received a crystal ball prediction from 247 Sports expert Steve Wiltfong.

This Tigers’ class of 2024 has the potential to be elite. They’ll be in fantastic shape if they can pick up just one or two big-time commits over the next month or so.

Keep an eye on Hurley and the rest of the class of 2024 as they look to help finish the class strong. The future is bright for the purple and gold, and it will be thanks to the young guys making it happen.
