LSU sophomore cornerback Denver Harris enters transfer portal for a second time

After just one season in Baton Rouge, LSU sophomore cornerback Denver Harris has entered the transfer portal for the second time in his career. The former five-star began his collegiate days with Texas A&M in 2022, but will now look for a new home heading into the 2024 season.

Over the course of his Tiger career, Harris saw chances early on, but quickly found himself sidelined before October. He totaled just seven tackles and two passes defended, but showed promise in each of his appearances.

With his decision to transfer, this marks departure No. 13 for the class of 2024. Notably, he’ll join juniors Laterrance Welch and Duce Chestnut as the only defensive backs to exit the program this season. Chestnut is also entering the portal for the second time in his career.

LSU is set to face off against Wisconsin in the 2024 ReliaQuest Bowl later this week. The matchup will take place on New Year’s Day in Tampa, FL, and will be broadcast live at 11:00 a.m. CST on ESPN2.
