LSU football recruiting lands a commitment from class of 2025 wide receiver TaRon Francis
And just like that, LSU football recruiting has claim to one of the best pass-catching groups in the class of 2025. Heading into yesterday, the Tigers already had commitments fromĀ three-star tight end John David LaFleurĀ and five-star wide receiver Dakorien Moore.
Now, New Orleans native wide receiver TaRon Francis has elected to join the group, becoming their fifth commitment total.
Francis is rated a three-star, according to 247 Sports, and theĀ No. 14 player in the state of Louisiana. However, standing at 6-foot, 200 pounds already as a junior, heās earned the nickname āManchild.ā He looks the part physically and plays like a man on a mission.

Four-star class of 2024 edge rusher CJ Jackson joins the party
As if all that wasnāt good enough, the big-timeĀ LSU footballĀ recruiting weekend got even better, as the Tigers landed yet another commitment this morning.
A bit over a week ago, four-star class of 2024 edge rusherĀ CJ Jackson decommitted from Georgia Tech, opening the door for other programs to make a move. While LSU had been recruiting him for quite a while, being from Tucker, GA, it was almost assumed heād end up with the Bulldogs.
However, he quickly shut all that down, visiting Baton Rouge over the weekend and announcing his commitment less than a full day later.
Jackson ranks as one of the best players in the class of 2024, sitting atĀ No. 193 nationally, as well as the No. 14 edge rusher.
The stellar 6-foot-5, 225-pound four-star chose the Tigers over some of the best college football teams in the country. Among his suitors were programs like Georgia, Alabama, Clemson and Auburn.
With these two commitments, LSU football has moved up significantly in recruiting rankings. In theĀ class of 2024, they now sit at No. 9Ā nationally, while the class of 2025 group slid up to No. 5.
