The Tigers have an absolute star wide receiver committed to them in the upcoming recruiting cycle. Last weekend, class of 2025 LSU commit Dakorien Moore showed up and showed out at the Battle Miami 7v7 event.
Class of 2025 LSU commit Dakorien Moore looking like a star early on
Last weekend, class of 2025 LSU commit Dakorien Moore attended the Battle Miami 7v7 event, and to say he performed well would be a gross understatement. Not only was he dominant, but he may have been one of the better competitors through the entire event.
After putting on a show on both offense and defense, it became clear early on just how much he truly stands out among fellow elite talents. To honor his performance, 247Sports went ahead and named the five-star wide receiver “Alpha Dog” of the event.
Ranking as the No. 5 player nationally, according to 247Sports, as well as No. 1 among wide receivers, there’s not much higher the big-time recruit can go. Still, even so, its hard not to see his stock continuing to rise after last weekend’s performance, especially when you pair it with his most recent junior season.
Through the 2023 season, Moore was by far one of the best players on one of the best teams in all of Texas. Recording 65 receptions for 1,303 yards and 15 touchdowns, he was nearly impossible to stop. Even more impressive was his 20 yards per reception statistic, showing his ability to make a big play every time he touches the ball.
There are months remaining until the stud class of 2025 recruit makes his way to Baton Rouge for his freshman year. Furthermore, there’s still plenty of time until he even has the opportunity to sign with the Tigers.
Still, depending on depth heading into the 2025 season, it wouldn’t surprise in the slightest to see him get on the field early and often as a first-year. If the Duncanville, TX, standout can continue to improve the way he has thus far, expect Dakorien Moore to become a household name throughout Louisiana sooner rather than later.
