Despite having just landed a third LSU wide receiver commitment in the class of 2025, the Tigers are still in on some top pass catchers, as five-star Jaime Ffrench will decide between LSU, Miami, Tennessee and Texas later this month.

Top LSU wide receiver recruiting target to make final decision later this month

Just yesterday, LSU football recruiting landed its third wide receiver commitment of the class of 2025 recruiting cycle, but that doesn’t exactly mean that coach Brian Kelly is done going after the position.

As a matter of fact, the Tigers are still in on multiple elite pass catchers, including Jacksonville, FL’s Jaime Ffrench, who most recently named the purple and gold as one of his remaining four contenders.

Officially listed at 6-foot-1, 185 pounds, Ffrench is about as close to the ideal wide receiver recruit that you’ll find at the high school level, and he hasn’t even completed his senior season yet.

Having recorded 106 receptions for 1,918 yards and 19 touchdowns over the last two seasons combined, production has never been an issue for him, and it’s thanks in large part to his route running ability paired with impressive body control and hand strength.

As we stand today, the Texas Longhorns are the current favorites to eventually land his commitment, while LSU, Miami and Tennessee are currently on the outside looking in, according to On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine.

Rated as the No. 18 player nationally, as well as the No. 4 pass catcher in the class of 2025, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, the top LSU wide receiver target will be a major win for whoever eventually gains his pledge later this month. For now, though, it’s just a matter of what’s best for him and his future, but there’s little doubt that Brian Kelly and his entire coaching staff will continue to roll out the red carpet all the way up until national signing day later this year.
