Class of 2026 LSU football target JaReylan McCoy has future star potential

Defensive lineman JaReylan McCoy saw an opportunity at an LSU football camp last month and ran with it. The 6-foot-7, 240-pound class of 2026 prospect out of Tupelo, MS, absolutely shined.

Furthermore, he performed well enough that the coaching staff offered him that day.

While he’s not yet rated, it’s hard to argue that he could be one of the best players in the class of 2026. His size alone gives him a hefty advantage. Still, it’s not just his size that impresses, as he moves shockingly well for a big man.

At the LSU football camp, he displayed an impressive ability to move coming out of a three-point stance. Throw in the fact that he showed off some quick feet and hands, and he could be a star for years to come.

McCoy has yet to take a single class in his sophomore year of high school, but he already boasts offers from several SEC schools, including South Carolina, Mississippi State and Ole Miss.

While it’s still early in his recruitment, it’ll be interesting to keep an eye on this class of 2026 stud over the years.
