And so the rollercoaster recruitment continues. After opening his recruitment back up earlier this month, recent LSU wide receiver decommitment Dakorien Moore most recently reported that he plans on taking a trip to Baton Rouge this summer for an official visit.
Recent wide receiver decommitment reports that he’s added LSU to his list of summer official visits
When it comes to official visit season, there’s truly no saying what to expect. Sometimes, it can end up being the difference maker in bringing a talented recruit to your school, and other times it can be the reason they choose elsewhere.
In the case of five-star wide receiver Dakorien Moore, it appeared as though it was going to be the latter, as he announced his decommitment from the program after taking recent visits to Ohio State, Oregon and Texas.
Only further adding to the disappointment of the situation, the recent wide receiver decommitment announced that he’d be taking trips back to each of the three schools mentioned earlier for his only official visits, showing that the Tigers might truly be out of it.
With that said, the tide might be turning in favor of the purple and gold, as the 5-foot-11, 175-pound Duncanville, TX, standout most recently made it known that he will end up taking a trip back to Baton Rouge for an official visit early next month on June 7.
Rated as the No. 3 player nationally, and the No. 1 wide receiver in the class of 2025, according to On3, Moore is currently taking part in the On3 Elite Series, an event designed to help future college football stars learn to navigate the world of NIL. Along with the Texas-based pass catcher, several of the top recruits in the nation are attending the event, including current LSU football commitments Bryce Underwood and Harlem Berry.
With his decommitment earlier in May, it was a significant loss for coach Brian Kelly and a Tiger squad that was looking to put together one of the best offensive recruiting classes of all-time. Fortunately, with the most recent news that he may still take his official visit to Baton Rouge, LA, the purple and gold might not be out of it just yet.
Outside of Moore, LSU is also targeting several other elite wide receiver targets including four-star CJ Wiley and five-stars Jaime Ffrench and Kaliq Lockett, all of which are also taking part in the big-time NIL event.
