Since coach Kim Mulkey joined on with the LSU women’s basketball program, recruiting has been a strength for the Tigers. The class of 2023 was an excellent example of this, and now they’re looking to continue the momentum into the class of 2024, as top forward Joyce Edwards is set to make her decision in the coming weeks.

Top class of 2024 forward could make college decision in the coming weeks

In the class of 2023, LSU women’s basketball recruiting landed commitments from four of the top 75 players in the country. Even more impressive, two of said commitments were in the top 10, according to ESPN.

Now, so far, in the class of 2024, they have just one commitment with point guard Jada Richard and are heavily in contention for several fantastic recruits, one of which could be making her decision sooner rather than later.

Class of 2024 forward Joyce Edwards has visited multiple top programs and appears to be close to a decision.

As things stand, the Camden, SC native could be leaning towards a commitment to South Carolina, as her most recent visit was to her home state Gamecocks.

However, with the Tigers’ track record in recent memory, it’s hard to imagine that she doesn’t at least give coach Kim Mulkey and LSU women’s basketball a good hard look.

Regardless, whoever ultimately lands a commitment from the No. 2 player in the country will be getting a good one. The 6-foot-2 prospect has immediate impact potential and should make an excellent addition to her future college.
