LSU women’s basketball receives major upgrade to locker room

Coach Kim Mulkey and the Tigers are now just six days away from the start of their regular season. In anticipation, it’s only fitting that the reigning national champions received some upgrades.

Today, on the team’s official Twitter account, they unveiled a brand new locker room, including the current players’ reactions to their new home.

The new locker room was first approved back in June when the LSU board of supervisors gave the “ok” for the $1.5 million project.

In the photos, you can see plenty of open space, including artwork, couches and lots of gold.

Coach Kim Mulkey and the LSU women’s basketball team played their first exhibition of the year last week vs. East Texas Baptist and came out on top 99-26.

They’ll have another exhibition tomorrow night vs. Loyola (New Orleans) at 7:00 p.m. CST before heading to Las Vegas, NV, for their 2023-24 regular-season opener vs. Colorado.
