Keylan Moses first announced his commitment to play for the purple and gold on November 30 of 2023. Now, over half a year later, the LSU linebacker commitment is officially set to take an official visit with Texas A&M later this week.
LSU linebacker commitment Keylan Moses scheduled to take official visit with Texas A&M
One of the most commonly forgotten things about recruiting in the world of college football is the fact that nothing is truly official until pen hits paper on national signing day, and even then, the signing isn’t exactly a 100 percent guarantee.
With that in mind, it’s only natural that recruits throughout the country will continue to look for the best option for themselves, even if it comes after a verbal commitment ahead of their senior seasons. With that, it’s not uncommon to see players continue to take visits as a means of doing their due diligence, and this appears to be exactly the case with Keylan Moses, who currently rests as one of the top commitments in the Tiger class of 2025.
Earlier today, the LSU linebacker commitment took to Twitter to reveal that he’ll be taking an official visit with Texas A&M this week from June 13 until June 15.
Officially listed at 6-foot-2, 210-pounds, Moses possesses prototypical linebacker size and has the athleticism to match. In turn, it comes as very little surprise that the Baton Rouge, LA native ranks among the top recruits in the country, officially sitting at No. 251 nationally, according to the 247Sports Composite, as well as No. 29 at his position.
Since first committing to coach Brian Kelly and the purple and gold back in November of last year, the LSU linebacker commitment has proven to be a beneficial pledge on multiple levels. Not only does he add an elite skillset on the defensive side of the ball for the Tiger class of 2025, but he’s also been an excellent recruiter since day one.
While a visit in itself isn’t exactly a reason for concern in terms of how committed he truly is, it will certainly be interesting to keep an eye on his recruitment in the weeks following.
Moses is currently one of three commitments on the defensive side of the ball for the LSU class of 2025 alongside fellow four-star linebacker Charles Ross and Louisiana-based cornerback Jaboree Antoine.
