It’s officially rivalry week in college football! For coach Brian Kelly and the Tigers, they’ll play the Aggies of College Station, TX, for their week 13 matchup for the 11th season in a row. Additionally, betting odds have been released, meaning we have our first glimpse at what Vegas thinks about this year’s edition of LSU football vs. Texas A&M.

LSU football vs. Texas A&M: Tigers open as early favorite over Aggies

Looking back one full season ago, coach Brian Kelly had a forgettable experience in his first time going to College Station. The Tigers went in feeling confident with a likely trip to the SEC Championship ahead of them, while the Aggies had only four wins on the season and nothing to lose.

It was a recipe for disaster. The 2022 version of LSU football vs. Texas A&M ended as a 38-23 loss for the Tigers, and needless to say, it left a sour taste in the mouths of purple and gold faithful.

However, the beauty of college football is with annual games, there’s always next year, and next year has finally arrived.

Coach Brian Kelly and the Tigers are set to face off against the Aggies in week 13, and according to Vegas betting odds, early signs point to the purple and gold.

According to Vegas Insider, the odds have coach Kelly’s squad favored, as they are a 12.5-point favorite. Additionally, in true 2023 Tiger fashion, the over/under is among the highest in college football, landing at 66.5 early on.

With these odds, Vegas is projecting LSU football vs. Texas A&M to end with a final score of around 39.5-27, favoring the home team.

In the all-time series between these two programs, the Tigers hold a slim lead, with a total record of 35-23-3. Furthermore, since this became an annual week 13 matchup, LSU has won eight of the last 10.
