Heading into week three of the college football season, Brian Kelly’s squad officially finds itself with a record of 1-1. They lost week one against the Florida State Seminoles in convincing fashion and dominated Grambling State in week two. Now, heading into their 2023 SEC opener with Mississippi State, the week four LSU football vs. Arkansas game time is officially announced.
LSU football vs. Arkansas game time announced
SEC play is finally upon us! After just two weeks of non-conference play, the Tigers are set to face off against Mississippi State in Starkville later this week. Then, just one week later, they’ll head home to play the Arkansas Razorbacks.
Until today, the games through week three were the only ones scheduled in terms of a timed kickoff. However, that changed today when the Tigers announced that the LSU football vs. Arkansas game would be a night game on September 23.
Last season, the Arkansas matchup was quite a defensive battle. The Tigers came out with the college football victory, winning 13-10.
On that day, absolutely nothing was working through the air for either team. Combined, the two teams threw the ball 37 times for 202 yards, one touchdown and one interception.
In contrast, defense dominated the lines of scrimmage, with 12 total sacks, including three by linebacker Harold Perkins Jr.
With the improved offenses both teams will put out on that evening, it’s safe to assume there will be plenty more fireworks to show on that side of the ball. Still, we could be in store for yet another close battle.
Both teams are projected to be among the top half of the SEC West and brought back plenty of experience for 2023. Furthermore, following a relatively disappointing outing by Alabama this past weekend, the winner of this game should be a competitor for an SEC Championship appearance.
