One thing that LSU football has an advantage in is finding underrated prospects throughout Louisiana. They’ve been doing it for years and appear to be doing it again, with LSU football recruiting trending towards a commitment from wide receiver Kylan Billiot.

LSU football could be on commitment watch for southern Louisiana wide receiver Kylan Billiot

When looking for the next great Louisiana-based wide receiver, keep an eye on Kylan Billiot. He’s a smooth runner with elite size and could quickly rise in the rankings.

As things stand, Billiot is unranked according to most of the major recruiting services, but he does not lack for talent. Today, he showed out on a visit to LSU football and earned an offer in the process.

With his offer, the Tigers already look like a frontrunner to earn his commitment. LSU football earned a crystal ball this afternoon from LSU insider Sonny Ship at 247Sports, predicting Billiot to the Tigers.

As mentioned, Billiot is unranked for now, but this shouldn’t last long. Even if he doesn’t become a highly-ranked recruit, coach Brian Kelly and the rest of the LSU football coaching staff have the advantage regarding his commitment.

Baton Rouge is one of the closest schools to his hometown of Houma, LA, giving plenty of opportunity for the Tigers to come and see him play football. If he is, in fact, a star in the making, Brian Kelly will be one of the first to hear about it.

It’s amazing what a visit can do. For schools, it can impress a recruit to the point where they commit. For recruits, it can impress schools to the point where they give you an offer.

The latter just so happens to be the case for Kylan Billiot, who played his way into an offer from LSU football today. He performed excellently in a 7-on-7 and impressed the Tiger coaching staff.

Possibly even more impressive is that he impressed some of the current LSU football players. He was seen chatting with stars such as defensive tackle Maason Smith and wide receiver Kyren Lacy.

When Kylan Billiot received his offer, the current Tigers seemed more than excited for him. Both Smith and Lacy are from the Lafourche-Terrebonne area.

Keep an eye on this recruitment, as Billiot is already beginning to look like an LSU Tiger. There’s plenty of time left, but the 6-foot-3 prospect is a perfect fit with coach Brian Kelly’s offense.
