When you come to Baton Rouge from the other side of the country, it’s not rare for there to be a bit of a culture shock. For LSU football transfer portal edge rusher Bradyn Swinson, it wouldn’t have been surprising if this is what he felt early on. However, at least early on, he’s enjoyed himself thus far, as he had some good things to say about the city earlier this week.

LSU football transfer portal addition Bradyn Swinson grew up about 20 miles outside of Atlanta, GA, in Douglasville. From there, he spent the last three seasons in Eugene as a part of the Oregon Ducks football program.

Needless to say, Baton Rouge, LA, is a bit different from Atlanta or Eugene. However, fret not, as Swinson recently gave his review of LSU so far and had some excellent things to say.

“I love it here. Since I got here, the food is the best thing that’s here right now; I love the food that’s here, coming from Georgia to here. Everything that’s here, the food’s been great, the coaches have been great, the people have been great,” the former Oregon Duck said. “And it’s really a tradition around here that I really enjoy. And after having my first SEC home game last week, that was just an amazing experience being in Tiger Stadium. So, I love playing football here; I just love the fans and everything about it.”

The LSU football transfer portal edge rusher also took to Twitter recently to share some photos from the season so far.

On the year, Swinson has been one of the most consistent players on the Tiger defensive line, recording 12 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss and two passes defended through four games.

Notably, he’s already reached the halfway mark for his career-best in total tackles in a season. During the 2021 season, he recorded 24 tackles, so keep an eye out as he looks to set a new career mark through 2023.
