Another day, another planned recruiting visit for a top class of 2025 five-star recruit. Earlier this week, talented wide receiver Caleb Cunningham out of Ackerman, MS, announced his list of upcoming trips, including a visit to LSU in early March.

Yet another class of 2025 five-star recruit to visit LSU football in the coming weeks

After losing two of the best wide receiver prospects we’ve ever seen from the purple and gold this offseason, LSU coach Brian Kelly doesn’t appear interested in rebuilding the room. Instead, he’s making an effort to retool, and thus far, it’s worked like a charm.

In the class of 2024, the Tigers are bringing in five new pass catchers, including three four-star recruits and two four-star transfers.

Now, as we look ahead to the 2025 cycle, he’s following a similar trajectory, with one five-star and one four-star already committed. Still, it appears as though they aren’t done yet, as class of 2025 five-star wide receiver Caleb Cunningham is slated to make his way over to Baton Rouge for a visit on March 8, according to a report by Chad Simmons of On3.

Along with LSU, Cunningham has an impressive list of upcoming visits over the next two months, including Ole Miss (March 4), Florida State (March 23), Auburn (March 30), Tennessee (April 1), Miami (April 6), Florida (April 13) and Texas A&M (April 19).

Notably, despite being an overwhelming favorite to land with Mississippi State – according to both On3 and 247Sports – he doesn’t have a scheduled time to visit this Bulldogs this spring.

However, this doesn’t look like an indication of things trending in another direction, as he told Simmons, “Mississippi State will get a visit too, but I can go there multiple times because it’s just 30 minutes from home.”

As things stand, Cunningham ranks among the very best wide receivers nationally. Rated as a five-star and the No. 11 player nationally, the 6-foot-3, 185-pound Choctaw County High School standout is likely to have his pick of any school in the country when things are all said and done.

The purple and gold already have commitments from two stellar wide receivers in the class of 2025. Still, bringing in a big-bodied red zone threat like Cunningham could do excellent things for the group as a whole if coach Brian Kelly can pull him away from the in-state Bulldogs.
